The Martini model, a coarse-grained force field initially developed with biomolecular simulations in mind, has found an increasing number of applications the soft materials science. model's underlying building block principle does not pose restrictions on its application beyond systems. Here, main to date model science are highlighted, and perspective for future developments this is given, particularly light recent such as new version 3.
